ABOUT PLANT POWER FOOD
PLANT POWER FOOD was established in 2017 and operates out of our restaurant located in the vibrant neighborhood of Nørrebro in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Our main vision is to promote a healthy plant-based lifestyle and educate people on how to make beneficial changes in their life. We believe the best way to promote this lifestyle is to show how amazing plant-based food can both taste and look. Therefore, our main focus is to deliver the highest quality food at our restaurant and pair it with aesthetically pleasing and artistic plating. We want people to look at their plates and say “if this is plant-based food I could eat it every day!”.
We also wish to promote our vision outside of the restaurant. We do that in our magazine. The magazine touch on subjects in the plant-based world such as recipes, health, and lifestyle.
Casper functions as the daily manager, developer, and chef of the restaurant.
Casper has many years of experience and is an educated plant-based lifestyle coach. Casper is the author of, Plant Power Fitness, a Danish book on plant-based nutrition for athletes.
Casper has a background as an elite athlete himself and has played many years of professional handball, in different professional teams in Denmark and 8 years on the Canadian National Team.
Casper co-founded Plant Power Food with Neel Engholm in late 2017.
Neel functions as the daily manager, developer, and chef of the restaurant.
Neel has lived vegan since 2003 and has been a vegan chef for more than 18 years. Neel is educated at the Food Future Institute, run by the renowned vegan chef Matthew Kenney.
Before moving back to Copenhagen, Neel worked in Los Angeles and many years in Barcelona as a chef. In 2018 Neel released the book, Plantebaseret Gourmet, a cookbook with recipes that elevates plant-based food to gourmet for the home cook.
Neel co-founded Plant Power Food with Casper Bilton in late 2017.
